TERMS OF SERVICE
These terms are a contract between you and Twisted Lunacy (ABN 21 979 134 918), Australia ("we", "us") for the Cache Of Credits app and website. By creating an account you accept them. They're written in plain language on purpose — the plain meaning is the intended one.
1. Eligibility — 18+
You must be 18 or older. The game contains chance-based mechanics and optional purchases, and hunts take place in public spaces. We verify age at signup and may re-verify; accounts found to belong to minors are deleted.
2. The game, honestly described
Hunts run on a daily schedule. Reaching a cache location (within 50 metres) unlocks a match-3 spin. Spin outcomes are chance-based with fixed, published odds: 45% on the first attempt, 62% on the second, 78% on the third. Loot Boxes and Gold Loot Boxes are chance items; their reward tables and odds are published in-app on the item screen before purchase. We commit to keeping every disclosed probability accurate to the implementation.
3. Cache Credits are not money
- Cache Credits (CC) are a virtual item with no real-world monetary value.
- CC cannot be exchanged, redeemed or cashed out for money, gift cards or anything of monetary value, by any mechanism.
- CC can be earned free through play. Purchases are optional and buy convenience and cosmetics, not outcomes at a cache — the walk still decides.
- CC are a limited licence, not property; they can't be sold, transferred or traded outside the app, and unused CC expire with account closure.
- All purchases are final, except where a refund is required by law (see clause 9) or by Apple/Google refund policy.
4. Physical safety — read this one twice
Hunts happen in the real world. You accept the in-app waiver before your first hunt, and it means what it says:
- Stay aware of your surroundings. Phones down when crossing roads.
- Never hunt while driving or operating any vehicle.
- Respect private property — caches only spawn in public, accessible places; if a hint seems to point somewhere you shouldn't go, it doesn't. Don't go there.
- Obey local laws and any place's rules of entry.
- You participate at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from your physical participation in hunts.
5. Fair play and anti-cheat
GPS spoofing, teleporting, speed-running caches in vehicles, automation, and multi-accounting are prohibited. Anti-cheat systems flag violations; three flags suspend the session, and repeated or serious violations can suspend or terminate the account, forfeiting CC. Photo verification is server-side; submitting doctored or AI-generated proof is a terminating offence.
6. Where the game is available
The game is not available in regions where we cannot lawfully offer it, currently including China, North Korea, Iran, Syria and Belgium, and we may add or remove regions as laws change. Circumventing regional blocks breaches these terms.
7. Your content and conduct
Display names and photo submissions must not be unlawful, infringing, hateful or impersonating. We may remove content and suspend accounts for breaches. You grant us the limited licence needed to operate the service (e.g., processing your verification photo for the 24 hours it exists).
7b. Indemnity
You indemnify us against loss, damage and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your unlawful conduct while playing (including trespass), or your infringement of anyone's rights — except to the extent we caused the loss, and never beyond what the law allows.
8. Account deletion
Delete your account any time in Profile → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: profile, CC balance, hunt history, photos and leaderboard entries are removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Consumer law
Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded — including the Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees, EU/UK statutory rights, and equivalent protections where you live. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited, at our election, to re-supplying the service or the cost of re-supply, to the extent the law allows.
10. Changes, suspension, and the service
The game is provided "as is" and evolves: we may change features, economy values, schedules and cities, and may suspend the service for maintenance or security. Material changes to these terms are announced in-app before taking effect. If you keep playing after the effective date, the new terms apply; if you don't accept them, delete your account (clause 8).
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes go first to admin@cacheofcredits.com — genuinely, most things get fixed there. Failing that, the courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, and nothing prevents you from relying on mandatory consumer protections or courts of your own country where the law gives you that right.
12. Severability
If any clause is found invalid, the rest stand.
